Chapter Twenty-Nine
âDonât make my rules,â Sean snarled and sunk his teeth into her throat. A small cry of pain tore from her as his teeth dug deep into her flesh until he struck a nerve. Kylarraâs body bucked beneath his. She quivered. He swept his aura around her and ground it into her in a way sheâd never experienced.
Her breath caught as he tugged the blood from her system. Kylarra tried to shove him backward and found her hands bound behind her head with his free hand. Too much ease he was able to control her! She growled beneath his belief he was able to feed from her as he wished.
Then he pressed his thigh between her legs and swarmed her with an intense need sheâd never felt pushed into her. Not of her doing. She hungered for the release of what he offered, wanting the pain, wanting the release, wanting to just forget everything taking place.
A whimper escaped when Sean maneuvered over her, touching places she struggled to maintain control of, but incapable of fighting what he did. Every move, every touch, the man manipulated her with expert skill and though she fought it, she knew . . . she wasnât winning the battle.
Not this time. Not with this man.
Heâd been played. Heâd been used. Like her, he knew all the tricks. Worse, his aura was manipulating her as if it were his hands and . . . other parts of him. Heâd learned to use his in a special way.
Sean moved his body for her to feel what her fear and desire did to him. Worse, she craved more. She wanted more. The breath rushed in and out of her lungs as he drew more from her before pulling away. Kylarra gasped as his teeth slid from her flesh and the skin sealed up behind him. Her breath puffed from her lips.
Holding himself directly in front of her while the torturous need coiled in the pit of her stomach on the brink of release if heâd just move a little more, Sean licked his lips clean of her blood. The dark grin made her shudder.
âIâve been here before kid,â he warned. âBeen played with. Conned.â An eyebrow rose. âAnd you will not get what you seek. Do not test me.â
All at once he was back in his seat. Her mind whirled uncontrollably. It was right there! By the old gods, that was worse than giving over to the orgasm sitting there. Knowing it belonged to her mate. Cursing him under her breath, Kylarraâs cheeks bloomed. Not in fury, but in the suffering from a release that hadnât been given. God the need for a release not delivered killed her.
Sean did all of that . . . for that very reason.
She raised her head and thumped it back to the ground, unconsciously her eyes misted over. Miserable. That was a great word for it. âWhat do you think stops me from finishing what you started?â she ground out. âMaking you watch me do it.
